Collection and the Center for Animal Adoption ROTAGUAU is in the town of Cadiz, Rota, and we are dedicated to the collection, protection, defense and adoption of pets that have been neglected or abused.

 

Collection and the Center for Adoption ROTAGUAU is a municipal service, in coordination with all the councils attached to his initiative, provides::

 

* Collection of pets abandoned (dogs, cats, birds, exotic ...).

* Removal of dead animals on public roads through conducting regular patrols by the agreed areas or emergency calls.

* The animals are brought out to our facilities, where they are without parasites, cured in case of injuries or wounds and accommodated at our facility with its food service and cleaning.

* Taking control of entry of animals through the making of the corresponding tab.

* Provide in pet adoption those which by their character and fitness and health, offer the best conditions for this.

* Inform the City Halls, joined the initiative, all our activity.

 

Our objectives are:

 

1. Collect, give shelter, food and veterinary care for pets abandoned or abused, and seek a new and good home where they can start a new life.

2. Foster respect and proper treatment of all animals and plants through their protection and defense.

3. Collaborate with the government in everything necessary to carry out the stipulations in points 1 and 2.

4. Seek veterinary care for those companion animals that need it.

5. To fight against the animal mistreatment of any type.

6. Sensitizing the society about the social problems posed by abandoned animals.

7. Promoting the adoption of pets in families that are accountable and ensure good treatment to them.

 

We believe priority to give full attention to the problem of pets abandoned because the number of abandoned them, in our state, is among the highest in the European Community.

 

To solve this problem we believe it is necessary to act in three areas simultaneously:

 

a. Caring for animals that have already been abandoned.

b. To promote the adoption rather than the purchase of pets.

c. Making an awareness-raising and outreach to prevent future abandonment and abuse.
